Thankful Thursday

Blog­ger ate my post.I keep threat­en­ing to switch to Word­Press. Is this a sign? I spent sev­eral hours this evening work­ing on my post … and then zap! It was gone. And this new “save” func­tion Blog­ger added saved over the old file that had been saved a few min­utes ear­lier. So I can’t retrieve it. And I don’t have the energy to rewrite it tonight.

Was that the Holy Spirit telling me not to pub­lish it? Or just a Blog­ger glitch? Or the Holy Spirit telling me to switch to WordPress?

I don’t know.

“In every­thing, give thanks … for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus con­cern­ing you.” A few months ago, I wrote about that verse and my efforts to live it. Don’t you hate it when your own words con­vict you?

But if I am to be true to my own words, I have to give thanks in all things, includ­ing Blogger’s destruc­tion of sev­eral hours of my hard work, right?

Right.

This thank­ful­ness stuff is not always easy. Not that any­body ever said it would be.

On another day, I will res­ur­rect the post I lost and pub­lish it. I’m sure that it will be bet­ter the sec­ond time around, so I will be thank­ful for that.

Lots of other things to be thank­ful for this week … home, fam­ily and their accom­plish­ments, mean­ing­ful work to do, steady income so as to provide …

And won­der­ful blog­ging friends. Thanks for stop­ping by and par­tic­i­pat­ing with me in this great adven­ture of thankfulness.
