Without really meaning to, I took a little break from this blog. Life just sort of intervened. As I wrote about on Thursday, I had company and I’ve been spending a lot of time enjoying the summer when not working. But I feel the need to get busy again not only with this blog, but with reading and many other projects.
Thankfully, I can read and even get a lot of work done when I am sitting by the pool, so that’s where you can find me much of the time. I love to soak up the hot rays.
There are many bloggers who devote a great deal of time to keeping up their sites and writing meaningful content that enlightens, inspires and empowers me. Robin Sampson at Heart of Wisdom just launched a great new meme, Super Simple Spiritual Sunday on June 30, 2007. Unfortunately, Robin had to undergo open heart surgery this past week and is now recovering so please keep her and her family in your prayers.
I think it would be great if Robin came back to blogging to find that her meme has really taken off and, during her recuperation, we have all been keeping it going.
This is how Robin describes Super Simple Spiritual Sunday:
[It is] an easy, quick, no brainer way to spread spiritual encouragement, get to know the blogging community as well as introduce the blogging community to your blog!
I was thinking of all the great encouraging posts I run across duing the week and how to organize and share them. The result is this SSSS Blog Meme. Want to meet other bloggers? There is no better way than to join a blog meme. If you don’t know what a meme is read about it here.
1. During the week keep a list of your very favorite spritual encouraging blog posts with links (best to keep in your blog draft). Start today! If you don’t know of any blogs go to Blog Search and type in Christian homeschool or a similar term. Use my blogrolls.
2. Post your list of links on Sunday (morning is best). Visit and comment on SSSS blogs.
3. If you want to use the image above, [visit Robin’s page to get the code].

Here the posts that I am spotlighting this week:
- Tamara at Training Loving Hearts discusses her struggles in On the Wrong Escalator. Drop by and leave her a note of encouragement.
- Angel Mama at Pearls of Wisdom is hosting the All Women Blogging Carnival tomorrow, Monday, July 9, 2007. Drop by, check out the guidelines and submit your post!
- Deborah Shank wrote about Adversity at Chocolate and Coffee.
- Melissa at Breath of Life reminded us that Freedom Isn’t Free. (She even included “American Soldier,” one of my favorite songs by Toby Keith.)
- Rob Witham also wrote on that theme: For Freedom Christ Has Set Us Free.
- David Airey wrote a thoughtful piece about the Psychology of Blog Publishing that we should all take a moment to read and consider. Are you addicted to blogging?
Hope you have a wonderful Sunday!
