This week I direct your attention to an eclectic, diverse group of articles from some very talented writers:
- Karen reminds us to stop and take time for the things in life are really important in “A Matter of Time.”
- Loni hosted “In ‘other’ Words” this week and wrote on the same theme from a Biblical perspective: “Intimacy with Jesus.”
- Wired for Noise is hosting the Carnival Against Child Abuse. You should check out some of the extremely powerful and moving posts included in the Carnival.
- The Small Scribbler describes learning how to say “no” in “Busy, Busy, Busy.”
- Flip Flop Floozie shared a wonderful prayer of thanks that she received from a friend via e-mail. I have printed it out, posted it in a conspicuous place and plan to pray it every day!
- Jeannie shared some difficult feelings and emotions, but resolved not to judge others’ choices in Mourning.
- Susanne shared an acronym for JOY that you should check out!
- Tami shared some Musings on Relationships with which we can all empathize.
- Pam presented her “creative” selections for this week’s Photo Hunt: Highlights of her granddaughter KatieBug creating her first quilt to take to Mexico on a mission trip and give to a resident there. You must see the pictures of a very proud little girl creating a warm, cozy quilt … and the last photo — the details of which I will not spoil here — will warm your heart and remind you that there are many ways to be a blessing to someone else.
Please remember to keep Robin at Heart of Wisdom, the originator of Super Simple Spiritual Sunday, in your prayers. She is home, having again been hospitalized, recuperating from open heart surgery and subsequent complications including pericarditis (inflammation of the lining of the heart). She is not able to be on line at all, but you can still leave a comment letting her know that you are praying for her.
Have a blessed Sunday!
