Super Simple Spiritual Sunday Edition No. 4

This week I direct your atten­tion to an eclec­tic, diverse group of arti­cles from some very tal­ented writers:

• Karen reminds us to stop and take time for the things in life are really impor­tant in “A Mat­ter of Time.”
• Loni hosted “In ‘other’ Words” this week and wrote on the same theme from a Bib­li­cal per­spec­tive: “Inti­macy with Jesus.”
• Wired for Noise is host­ing the Car­ni­val Against Child Abuse. You should check out some of the extremely pow­er­ful and mov­ing posts included in the Carnival.
• The Small Scrib­bler describes learn­ing how to say “no” in “Busy, Busy, Busy.”
• Flip Flop Floozie shared a won­der­ful prayer of thanks that she received from a friend via e-mail. I have printed it out, posted it in a con­spic­u­ous place and plan to pray it every day!
• Jean­nie shared some dif­fi­cult feel­ings and emo­tions, but resolved not to judge oth­ers’ choices in Mourn­ing.
• Susanne shared an acronym for JOY that you should check out!
• Tami shared some Mus­ings on Rela­tion­ships with which we can all empathize.
• Pam pre­sented her “cre­ative” selec­tions for this week’s Photo Hunt: High­lights of her grand­daugh­ter KatieBug cre­at­ing her first quilt to take to Mex­ico on a mis­sion trip and give to a res­i­dent there. You must see the pic­tures of a very proud lit­tle girl cre­at­ing a warm, cozy quilt … and the last photo — the details of which I will not spoil here — will warm your heart and remind you that there are many ways to be a bless­ing to some­one else.

Please remem­ber to keep Robin at Heart of Wis­dom, the orig­i­na­tor of Super Sim­ple Spir­i­tual Sun­day, in your prayers. She is home, hav­ing again been hos­pi­tal­ized, recu­per­at­ing from open heart surgery and sub­se­quent com­pli­ca­tions includ­ing peri­cardi­tis (inflam­ma­tion of the lin­ing of the heart). She is not able to be on line at all, but you can still leave a com­ment let­ting her know that you are pray­ing for her.
