“I Stand” from the CD of the same title — words and music by the fab­u­lously tal­ented Idina Men­zel, star of “Rent” and “Wicked.” She says, “The title song ‘I Stand’ is about try­ing to under­stand who I am, what I believe in and what I con­tribute to the world though I appre­ci­ate that I’m still a work in progress. I think ‘I Stand’ is a song that my fans will espe­cially appre­ci­ate. So many peo­ple strug­gle with that feel­ing of being dif­fer­ent from those around you but I want to encour­age peo­ple to think that it’s more than okay to be fierce and to let it all shine.”
