Outside my window. . . there is a light breeze and the skies are clear. It is chilly this morning, but the temperature is expected to rise to about 78 degrees. Rain is predicted later in the week.
I am thinking . . . about a story on the local news last night about parishioners arguing over the leadership of their church. The dispute escalated to the point that one faction hired security guards to bar the door and prevent members of the other faction from entering to attend the Palm Sunday service. What a sad state of affairs.
I am thankful for . . . the peace that I am feeling right now. I hope that I continue to feel it throughout the busy week ahead.
From the kitchen . . . the street in front of my house is quiet.
I am wearing . . . business attire because I am about to leave for work.
I am creating . . . a new energy in my professional surroundings because there are many organizational changes afoot.
I am going . . . to be working many extra hours over the next couple of weeks because of those changes.
I am reading . . . the local news online.
I am hoping . . . to have some quiet time for meditation and prayer during this Holy Week.
I am hearing . . . the sound of the local newscaster’s voice as the television is on.
Around the house there is more clutter than I can tolerate. I must address that this week.
One of my favorite things . . . is getting a fruit smoothie on my way to work. I think it will be strawberry this morning.
A few plans for the rest of the week: Lots of long days during which much will be accomplished.
