The Simple Woman’s Daybook: April 20, 2009

Outside my win­dow… there is bright sun­shine stream­ing through the win­dow.
I am think­ing … that I am less than thrilled that the tem­per­a­ture is going to soar to more than 90 degrees today. It is too early in the year and means that it might be a very long, hot sum­mer.
I am thank­ful for … an air con­di­tioner that works and enough money in the bank to turn it on and be able to pay the bill for the elec­tric­ity when it arrives.
From the kitchen … I am drink­ing Instant Break­fast. That’s about as much break­fast as I can ever han­dle.
I am wear­ing … a night­shirt because it is still early.
I am re-reading … Romans. I never tire of it and always learn some­thing new.
I am hop­ing … to get a lot of work done early in the week so that Fri­day will not be as hec­tic as usual.
I am cre­at­ing … a sense of peace within myself.
I am pray­ing … for a good friend who lost her hus­band a few weeks ago and hop­ing that she is doing well.
Around the house it is quiet. I am the only one who is awake.
One of my favorite things … is get­ting up before every­one else and enjoy­ing the morn­ing quiet.
A few plans for the rest of the week: Work, work, and more work!
