The Simple Woman’s Daybook: May 18, 2009

Outside my window … there is bright, hot morning sun trying to break through the curtains.

I am thinking … about the fact that I have not written much in the past few weeks. It is not because there is nothing that I want to say. Rather, it is because I have so much on my mind and a lot happening in my life. This past weekend, I sat down in front of the computer several times, determined to begin writing about all that is taking place, but each time I was distracted or called away to attend to responsibilities. When the time is right, the words will flow.

I am thankful for … the long-planned changes in my life that are finally becoming a reality.

From the kitchen … comes the sound of the icemaker working to keep up with our demand for its product. Yesterday, it was 103 degrees here and the temperature is expected to reach 95 degrees today. Although we are fortunate to be able to stay inside with the air conditioner running, we seem to be drinking a lot of icy cold beverages.

I am wearing … a business suit.

I am reading … my email messages.

I am hoping … that I will find time this week to begin writing about the new chapter of my life that is unfolding.

I am creating … a new chapter of my life and it is exciting.

I am praying … for discernment and guidance in the days ahead.

Around the house … there is increasing organization as I work my way through each room, doing some much-needed “spring cleaning.”

One of my favorite things … is the feeling of excitement and anticipation that accompanies decision-making. After the pondering and deliberating conclude, it is exhilarating to move past that process and into the period of implementation of the choice that has been made.

A few plans for the rest of the week … include making time to write about the thoughts and emotions that I have been experiencing in the past few weeks, as well as my plans for the future.

Here is a picture thought for you to ponder during the coming week:

For someone like you who have a lot of things happening in your life that is normal. You can’t really concentrate on what you really want to write because you feel excited on writing everything.

You don’t know where to start and you don’t know how will it end. But the good part in this is that when you have made your mind on where to start you will be able to write everything continuously. It would be even hard for you to stop because the ideas that you have keep on coming.

This is just my idea, but it also happens to me. People have differences in everything but I guess this is on of the reasons for confusion.
