“We search for everything we believe we don’t have, not knowing that everything we are looking for is already inside us. We are born with it.”

Looking within– God is there to supply all we seek. thanks for sharing
I’m letting the quote “roll around” in my head. I’m thinking about it. I’m not really sure I understand it. At first I thought, “That’s good.” Now I don’t know. I’m trying to understand it in the light of Scripture and figure out if I believe it. You have given me something to think about.
We are fearfully and wonderfully made. The photo is beautiful.
Have a wonderful week.

Born and raised in the Bay Area, the Golden Gate Bridge is a symbol of home and deepest happiness for me; I personally find it an appropriate fit for the quote. All the best.

I think that’s a really deep quote. At first it might be easy to dismiss it — thinking that, well, there are a lot of things that I want that I don’t have. When you look at it more closely, though, those are material things that don’t really matter as much as the things we *should* be looking for. And even below that, I think the search for material possessions could be reinterpreted as a search for emotion and love and peace, which are the things that Don Ruiz was saying we have inside us. As a culture, we’re looking outwards for happiness when we should be looking in.
