“We search for everything we believe we don’t have, not knowing that everything we are looking for is already inside us. We are born with it.”

Looking within- God is there to supply all we seek. thanks for sharing
I’m letting the quote “roll around” in my head. I’m thinking about it. I’m not really sure I understand it. At first I thought, “That’s good.” Now I don’t know. I’m trying to understand it in the light of Scripture and figure out if I believe it. You have given me something to think about.
We are fearfully and wonderfully made. The photo is beautiful.
Have a wonderful week.

Born and raised in the Bay Area, the Golden Gate Bridge is a symbol of home and deepest happiness for me; I personally find it an appropriate fit for the quote. All the best.

I think that’s a really deep quote. At first it might be easy to dismiss it – thinking that, well, there are a lot of things that I want that I don’t have. When you look at it more closely, though, those are material things that don’t really matter as much as the things we *should* be looking for. And even below that, I think the search for material possessions could be reinterpreted as a search for emotion and love and peace, which are the things that Don Ruiz was saying we have inside us. As a culture, we’re looking outwards for happiness when we should be looking in.
