Super Simple Spiritual Sunday Edition No. 8

October 21, 2007

It has been a few weeks since I’ve had time to publish this weekly round-up of great articles! After Labor Day, my life, like so many other folks’, becomes extremely busy, leaving me longing for the long days and slower pace of summer. From now until the New Year, the pace is hectic, sometimes frenetic, with blogging relegated to the “when I can” category. I know that many of you can relate.

I wish there were more hours in the week available to visit all the blogs owned by talented and visionary writers that I find when I start following links from one site to another. But here are some of the posts I read this week that I found most interesting, thought-provoking, inspiring and informative.

I urge you to visit one of more of these sites and, of course, let the proprietors know that you were referred by Hopeful Spirit at On the Horizon!

Super Simple Spiritual Sunday Edition No. 6 This week I enjoyed some amazing writing by very talented bloggers. I recommend the following eclectic group of articles. When you visit, let the authors know that you were referred by Hopeful Spirit at On the Horizon! This week I was moved, inspired and reminded of my blessings by an eclectic group of skillful writers. Check out the following articles I discovered this week and be sure to let the authors know you were referred by Hopeful Spirit at On the Horizon:

* Betty Jane offered her simple, but eloquent and profound testimony at Have I Told You Lately.
* Lynn described acts of bravery and selflessness motivated by faith. “In the midst of a world of cynicism, sarcasm and self-centeredness there are people who are committed to Christ.” Check it out at Spiritually Unequial Marriage.

This week I direct your attention to an eclectic, diverse group of articles from some very talented writers:

* Karen reminds us to stop and take time for the things in life are really important in “A Matter of Time.“
* Loni hosted “In ‘other’ Words” this week and wrote on the same theme from a Biblical perspective: “Intimacy with Jesus.“
* Wired for Noise is hosting the Carnival Against Child Abuse. You should check out some of the extremely powerful and moving posts included in the Carnival.

There is so much good material to read on the Internet and so little time in which to do it! When I’m pushed for time, I bookmark a lot of entries so that I can go back and read them in their entirety when I have sufficient time to read carefully and consider the content.

So it is my hope that Super Simple Spiritual Sunday will benefit you by pointing you toward some really wonderful posts from the past week, thereby saving you some time while enriching your life.

This week I recommend the following:

Without really meaning to, I took a little break from this blog. Life just sort of intervened. As I wrote about on Thursday, I had company and I’ve been spending a lot of time enjoying the summer when not working. But I feel the need to get busy again not only with this blog, but with reading and many other projects. […]
